storm in Karawaci

So shocking that suddenly there was storm in Karawaci. I was doing my thing in supermal with my friend. The noise of the rain was unusual. So I walked into the main gate and found that the rain can instantly kill someone. Hahahaha.... It was so heavy like the one that you often seen in TV news. What made it worse, the water came out from the light above. So, it was local flood inside the mal.

Suddenly the rain stopped and what made me so excited was the condition outside. It was all mess. Many trees fell down. Some hit the cars. hihihihihihi..... (Next time don't park your car near the tree) The benton area are ruined (was it?) And flood inside UPH. Here are some photos!!!And then What made it worse was most of the road in the condominium area was blocked by the trees. On the way back to my place, I counted the falling trees, more than 10 trees fell down and on the road, it was full of tree branch. I thought God was angry. Most of my class was cheated in penkom final exam the day before. Hahahaha...

quiet week which is not too quiet.... ssshhhhh

This week.... It's holiday!!! Yeay, but..... for most of 2007 foodtech students, it's a hell week for them. There is one assignment, very important one which should be finished this week. Many of them are willing to finished it very quick. And the other, including most of my mentees, are too lazy to finish it. Even one of them, just started today. What the......

But what I want to say now is about my presence in this blog. It's been long time since I posted the last one. Hahahahaha.... Just wait for the next interesting post (not including this one) Hohohohoho....

Bangka island, beautiful yet boring

Ya ya ya ya, I just got home from bangka last week. I don't know how to say. But, it's too boring eventhough the beach is too beautiful. I can't imagine if I didn't get the flight home that time. phew... Speaking on the beach, I was speechless to see that one. It was better than that one in Bali. But there's no cafe, no shopping center or any great funtainment. ARGH.... make me in the new season of "lost" hehehehehe.....

Instead of my personal dislike, there's a lot of things which is good. First of all, the martabak which id different with the fake bangka martabak you can found in Jakarta. It's sweeter. Itwas so cold and dark. hot sweet martabak, yummy. You can't ask for anything more.look!, this is how the martabak was made. So the martabak maker has already prepared the martabak cream first, so it's easy for him to cook it. The smell and the colour, hm.....
I think martabak is the greatest thing I could ever found in Bangka other than the beach. hm... I recommended you to go to Bangka with your friends. No friend, no fun.

Drunk... what makes you drunk? Alcohol, right?

That's what I felt when me and my friends drank wine together at Jogja and actually we bought it in wine of gods at Bali. From all of us, I am the most sensitive with alcohol. With just few drink, my face is already all red. I could hardly walk and think straight. Luckily my friends didn't do bad things to me. phew....

I just answered that I like him. Hahahaha.... so stupid.

It was Linda who drank the most at that time and she didn't turn red like me. Fortunately, the girls have come back to their room before seeing me with this red face. Once again, I was so lucky. Phew..

It was 2 days ago that I went to the mal, all by myself. sob. Nobody want to go with me. Joking. It was because I was so desperate that most of my friends live far far far far away from me. So I went to the cinema, watching movie. It was shrek the third which I watched. But it wasn't that good. I don't know whether it was because the loneliness or because of the movie itself. Whatever. So sadd.....

DDR Supernova

It was this afternoon, I went to supermal. Then I called my hostmate, Andy. We were planned to buy a jacket in a shop. He told me that he was in amazon, an arcade zone. I finally found him playing shooting game. Then I decided to play my game, ddr. But, when I saw the machine, I saw something different. It was the newest one. It was ddr supernova!!! Aaaarrrggghhh I was so surprised that it would be that fast to enter karawaci. Then I bought 4 coins @ IDR 1250. one game costs 2 coins. So I played first the song which I have played in console. But at the 3rd song, I was failed. So sadddd!!! By the second time, it was worst. I failed at the 2nd song. Finally I realized that the difficulties from the previous ddr, ddr extreme, had been increased. I can manage almost every song in ddr extreme, but when I played ddr supernova, I was nothing. So, I can say it's all depend on your training.

It was started when I went to bus station at 12.12 am. Yuke told me that the bus was already passed, so I have to cross the road to get into the bus. Finally, I got into the bus, found that my friend wore the tee that I was about to wear. I was so lucky to change my tee before I went to the bus station. I would be so embarrassed that time wear the same tee with her.

We were about to go to Irene's condo, where we were promised to have crab kwetiau and red bean ice cream from pontianak. Yummy. She sent us a message which said that she was going to benton to eat with her mom. So, me and Yuke went to mal first to buy some daily things. We bought it at hypermart. There, we met Andy and William from food processing 2005. They thought that we were dating, ended with Yuke's word "junk". Hihihihihi... By the time we went out from there, we met Ms Elisa, Ms Wahyu, Ms Ratna, and Ms Nia. Ms Nia was asking me about her photo taken to my blog. Hahahahaha... I said to her that I had removed that sleepy photo. Hahahahaha...

Then we went to Irene's condo. We knocked the door and heard sound from her condo. We thought that it was so crowded. Then we hid until Irene call my name," Ya Denny, where are you?" Hahahaha... then she found us doing our idiotic things. There was Ody and Linda inside...
It hasn't 3 pm so I couldn't eat anything yet. They were eating the kwetiau first and the ngo hiang Irene's mother made. What a trial for me... After finished eating, Irene asked them for the ice cream. Lucky for me that they were waiting until my fast done. What a friend.

Until all eating things, we just then gossiped about many things. Hihihihihi... then these are the activity that they did today!

10th May, anaylitical chemistry lab

Well, we used to have a analytical chemistry lab today. But it's all over. I missed that lab so much. Although I always be the victim of the day. The 3 "Charlie's angels" laboratorium assistants wannabe always made fool of me. Sometimes they said that they will cut my marks. That really pissed me off. But, they were only joking. One time when one of the assistant came to me and said," Hey, what're you looking at?" And then I laughed and I said," Look at your face, nothing really scare about that." She looked angry. But again, there were no expression of angry from her face. So I laughed again. She told me that she would cut my mark for that. And then the other assistant just laughed and said to me," Denny, that's what I really want to say since long. Since you are the one who said it, I will add your marks." So the not-angry-looking assistant yelled and did little jump, said," aaaaaa..... just see next Den" I just laughed again. Hihihihi....

Actually there are 2 more people that I have to discuss here, Sr Ishak and Sr Tagor. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of their photos. But it was fun to be with them in this laboratorium also. Many stories which I cannot tell here. Hihihihi....

overall, it's good to be with them in the lab for almost half a year. Hope we will meet again in the next laboratorium. Hahahahahaha....

lazy morning

This morning I found it verrrrryyyyyy hard to wake up. I set my alarm for 6 am. But, as you know today is holiday, made me really not in the mood of starting my activity in the morning. That was a new record for me to push my alarm for more than 10 times. Give me applause then

Now, at 11.40 am, I'm writing this blog, haven't taken bath yet. By the time I woke up, I just turned on my notebook and started to write this useless post. Hahahahahaha..... Just want to tell you all to wake up earlier. Don't do this at home!!!

This afternoon, our microbiology lecturer called me and Alvin to ask everybody in A and B class whether they know about the 6th key, the key for locker number 6. For the one who felt that he/she hold that key, please contact Ms Elisa in the biology laboratorium. We need it fast!!!! So hurryyyyyyy..... Ask your friend about it!!!

let our aspiration heard!!!

No, I don't want to start this post from the time I woke up. It's too important for that. It was 10 am and I went to uph building B to attend the forum of students-lecturers. Well, It wasn't on time, but for about 15 minutes, we could start the meeting. But as you know that we didn't direclty meet the lecturers to give our aspiration. First, we have to gather between all the representation from each class and give our aspiration.


It was led by Roy from beverage 2004. First, he explained first about our we were about to do. The aspiration was divided into 3 main parts, which are the laboratorium, the study and the lecturers, and also the regulation.

It was started from the student from 2006, A class, which is my class. First of all, I said to them that it was our laboratory equipment which is not enough for us. We need more equipments!!! It was followed then by the representation from C class . They said that they need more competent lecturers who really understand what they are going to teach the students.

It was continued by students from 2005. They really underlined about the "blender" thing. They said that it was not their reponsible to pay that because they didn't really know when and where it was broken, so they really want it to be cleared. And also about the review of the assignments. They thought that it wasn't that good to let us don't know about the real solution about the problem in making the assignments. They asked for feedback from the lecturers. Ther rest are about the laboratorium, about the regeneration of the lab equipments and the schedule of the lab which is continued by another lesson.

The other was about the different between food processing class, beverage class, and nutrition class. It was rumor that there will be no more division like that for the students of 2006. They want to know about them pretended as the experimental mouse of the regulation. And also they asked about the practical lesson for the beverage and nutrition class which is not as much as the food processing class. So they wanted for the new lab for them. At least if they cannot build a new lab for them, there will be a management of time for them to get a practical lesson. So, it will be even for them.

The other are all about the new journals which is needed for us, food technology students and about respect between us and the lecturers, because many of them has ever been scolded impolitely by the lecturer which they didn't want to tell.

And then, one of the student of 2004, Lisa, told us from another point of view. She told us not to think about ourselves, but we also have to think about others, which are our lecturers. We never think about their live our their feeling about us. We sometimes only asking for more, never give something back for them. If we think that we have a problem and it's not the time to respect the lecturer, it's really our problem. We never think that they also have a life. Maybe we should think that we have to start it from ourselves. If we want to be respected, respect others.

The last thing we did was to conclude all the aspiration into 3 main parts, which is the nutrition and beverage class, the laboratorium problems, and other things which is important to tell.

And then, the students meeting has over and then until our time to meet the lecturers.
We were a little confuse about the chair arrangement which cost a lot of time. At last we manage to make it neat. All the students sat at their hot spot, nice place to see others. Hihihihihihi.....

Me, myself sat at the right wing let me take photos of them who sit at the left wing until I moved to another spot.

At last, many of the lecturers come. It was ms Sisi, Sr Jeje, Ms Rani, Ms Nana, Ms Elisa, Ms Julia, and Ms Nuri. We were given drink as our first snack. Hehehehe... I should keep my fast done. And then they gave the bread to the lecturers, I thought we will be given also, but unfortunately it was for the lecturers only. Hikshikshiks... I thought it would be my first food of the day.

And then the second wave came, Ms Mery, Sr Hardoko, Ms Nia, Ms Ratna, Sr Tagor, Sr Rudy, Sr Tomo, and one more (I don't know who he is)

From now, I will give it as Question and answer

Q: Is it true that there will be no more selective class for the student of 2006?

A: There will be no more selective class for the students of 2006. Why? It is because the globalization. We cannot only think about the needs of Indonesian industry. We have to see the world, and what we have to do is to fulfill that.

Q: And how about us student from 2004 and 2005, we think that we were only your experiment and then you just leave us and concern about the 2006 students?

A: (Sr Hardoko) Me, myself who made the selective class. I saw the vision, I imagine what will happen next. But we saw what people need at that time. And we saw that industry needed someone who really are competent in their major.

But the main thing is if you see the students before you, 2002 or 2003 you can see the improvement of the curriculum. And we keep on digging what we think we can give to make an improvement. So, even for the student of 2006, you will also see the improvement, something that you don't get from 2007 students.

For the students of 2007 you can choose all the selective lesson from all major, which are food processing, beverage, and nutrition. And the choice is all yours.

Q: How about the food processing and the beverage students, we see that that isn't fair for us to get the same material like the food processing student. We didn't get really specific thing about our selective class, especially for the laboratorium and the practical job.

A: If you see the improvement of our lab, 10 years ago was nothing. If you ask us for a new lab, you know that building a lab is not easy. You cannot just make a room for lab, no! We should maintain the air, the waste and other thing. It will cost the time. But, if you ask for the beverage student and anatomy lab for nutrition students, we can say that we can manage it in our recent labs. We only have to buy 2-3 things to start the beverage and nutrition class. So we will really work for it. If that that you want, we can make it.

Q: How about the equipment in the laboratory, we often heard about broken things everywhere, and maybe some of them were really our mistake and we have to pay for it. But, there were other things that wasn't our fault, like the "blender" thing which have to be paid by all the students of 2005 who used it. We didn't even know how it could be disable like that. But the laboratory staff called us to pay for it.

A: (Ms Mery) It comes back to ourselves who don't care the lab things like our own things. You often don't care about that. And at last, you are the one that don't want to be blame for that.
(Ms Nuri) We in the next semester will make calibration system. We are responsible for ISO in UPH. So there we will seperate which one that still can be used and which one that cannot be used anymore.

Q: We, from the student of 2004, think that there must be a review or feedback from the lab assignments.

A: By the first time we heard that question, we think about plagiatism. Even if we don't give you back, there is still plagiatism. How can we assure that there will be your juniors that will copy your assignments. To compare your assignments in the same year is already difficult. How can we compare your assignments to the following year. It will be more job for us.

From the next semester, we will give a new regulation for the assignment, zero point for group who found copy from other group. if they do it the second time, they will get F for that subject.

And there are many other things that I cannot tell you in this opportunity.
So let our aspiration fulfilled.....

last dinner

It was after I returned from Elyn's place. I went eating at harkit. A cheap place to eat. I can't say it is hygienic, but it's damn cheap... I ate soto daging for tonight. It was delicious with a lot of spices I put it into.

Ina, who said that she didn't want to eat at first, ate es campur. WoW, so delicious....
N' jote ate " I don't know what is it " food. It also looks delicious.

surprise!!!

As we know that today is elyn's birthday, so I and my friends planned to give a surprise for her.
Maybe this morning she thought," hiks... my friends don't give me anything, they only gave their hand to shake mine... " " WAAAAA.... so sad"
But, that's our tactics. Last night I planned with jote to buy her jco donuts. First, we planned to buy it in the morning. But...... we were so sleepy this morning and the plan was changed to be this afternoon.

So after we studied at elyn's place, Yuke, one of my friends, bought the donuts and the candle also....

Unfortunately, she bought the wrong candle, so stupid... It is elyn's 19th b'day, but she bought the 18th candle. What the....

At 6, we went to Yuke's place and prepare the cake. We were confuse at the first time, but suddenly there is a saviour, a design student who kindly prepare the cake for us. But, you see, it's all mess. I can't say that it's hygienic, but It was worthy. Hihihihi....

For the candle, yes.... we ruined it. I cut it so it kinda looks like, not really like 19. Everybody said that it was 18. Damn!!! Yuke looked helpless at that time, we were like a bunch of idiot people arguing about the arrangement of the donut. Hihihihihihi.....

We thought that 3 of us won't be enough as a surprise. It will made us looked stupid. So we called some of our friends to join us. It was Alvin and Ina. Alvin agreed to come when I said that there was free donuts for him. And Ina would be glad to join. What a contrast, isn't it...

Ina was fooled by me when I said that it was our lecturers who were having b'day. She trusted me, I told him to knocked the lecturers home and finally I laughed crazily...
*laugh*
She realized that she was fooled. Hahahahahahahaha.... She even told Yuke to bring the cake to the lecturers home. Damn, so close...

Finally, we went to Elyn's palace. It was so damn hard to call her. I send her a message but it was nothing. And then I called her, it was all the same. I thought Elyn would think like this, " hihihihihihihihihi.... so you call me and send me message just to bait me out, hohohohoho.... I already know your plan. You see that. " But, that's different. At last we call her by shouting in front of her place. And then she got out with a banana in her hand. She was deaf at that time, didn't hear all the people in the car shouting. Hahahahahaha.... We told her to get close to the car and finally we sang

Happy b'day to you, happy b'day to you, happy b'day, happy b'day, happy b'day to you. Yeay...... (clapping hands) *plok plok*



She looked surprised, but in his mind I knew that she has known," He he he, let me pretend that I already know about this, don't you think I don't know about this? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... You're all stupid."
hahaha... just kidding.
So we got out from the car and took photos. It was taken by Nadya, one of our senior in food technology. Hihihihihihi....

At the candle blowing photos, actually it was taken the fourth time, and I told her to do it and do it again. Because the fire has been blown before the photos taken, it wasn't my fault. It was just mechanical problem, hehehehe...

Now, it's time to eat the donut. Everyone feel hungry at that time. Everybody has targeted their own donut. Like jote who targeted the crown donut and unfortunately Yuke also targeted that one. So unluckily for Jote that his donut was taken by Yuke. But, good people always win. Yuke realized that the donut was too hard too eat. Maybe Jote just laughing in his mind. Finally we should go home and left the donuts to Elyn and her hostmate.
